Tax Planning Advice

Some tax planning and advice is offered as part of our usual fixed fee whilst preparing the accounts and tax returns, such as ensuring you are claiming all allowable expenses, utilising your personal allowance, avoiding higher rate tax (legally of course) and advising on the optimum level of salary and dividends for owner-managed companies.

In addition to this, we are also able to carry out calculations and offer advice in relation to other taxes such as Capital Gains Tax.  If you are looking to make a disposal of a chargeable asset such as a rental property / second home or sell your business, we can estimate any capital gains tax that may be due before completion. As part of this, we will consider and advise on any reliefs that may be available such as Business Asset Disposal Relief or Principal Private Residence relief.

If the tax advice required is in an arrear that we are not experienced in dealing with then we will either use our specialist tax and VAT advice line or refer you on to someone who can help.
